Spiced Chickpeas

A simple way to dress up chickpeas for a dinner salad or to serve with a whole grain and vegetables.
  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas (or canned chickpeas, rinsed)
  • 1T olive oil
  • 1 medium or small clove garlic
  • ½ tsp. smoked paprika (pimenton de la vera)
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ½ tsp. curry powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Mince garlic, then add both the minced garlic and the olive oil to the chickpeas.
  2. (If you have extra time, mince garlic, steep in olive oil for 20 minutes, then dress the chickpeas with the mixture.)
  3. Add spices to the chickpeas and mix.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
