This year, I’m making plans for the biggest weight maintenance challenge of the year— the stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Though as reported by Tara Parker-Pope over at Well, the magnitude of the average holiday weight gain may not be that big, perhaps only a pound, according to this study. Still, most people tend to add a pound or two every year, and this would account for about half of it. For me personally, I tend to add a layer of insulation for those cold winter months. Given that I’m starting out at the top of the range I like to weigh, I need to be careful. I’ll be sharing my strategies– and my recipes– over the next month and a half.
