This cocoa cherry smoothie has been one of my favorite breakfasts lately. It gives me a chocolate fix with no added sugar whatsoever. I photographed it with fresh fruit but make it with frozen organic sweet cherries from Costco. Cocoa and cherries are an unbeatable combination (as in Black Forest Cake), and both are nutritious ingredients.
I use Green & Black’s Organic Cocoa to avoid child labor. I have no business connection with them, just enjoy their product.

I will have to look for those frozen organic cherries at Costco! This looks delicious, Mary. I love the combo of cherries and chocolate (and black forest cake 🙂 ) Going to pin this!

It’s definitely the affordable way to get organic sweet cherries, I hope the Costco in your area will have them! My area (Seattle) has more organic groceries than I’ve ever seen visiting other places, and people have told me their Costco doesn’t have some of the same things that mine does like almond flour and coconut flour. I hope you will find lots of good organic groceries at yours, they seem committed to expanding their organic offerings. Glad you are pinning this, I hope you will like it when you try it!
Wow cool combo, I’m with Gwen! Going to make that for my boyfriend tomorrow! Thanks for the recipe!
I hope the two of you enjoy it!
